The wait is over as the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) unveils the results for the 2023 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). Understanding the Release Process
JAMB releases results in batches, typically within 48 hours after the completion of the Computer-Based Test (CBT). This means candidates can expect their results within two days of taking the exam.
Checking Results Online and via SMS
Candidates have two options to check their results:
- The official JAMB result checker portal
- The SMS method.
Official JAMB Result Checker Portal:
Visit https://portal.jamb.gov.ng/eFacility_/CheckUTMEResults.
Input your registration number or mobile number.
Click on "Check My Result."
SMS Method:
Use the same mobile number used for registration.
Send UTMERESULT to either 55019 or 66019 via SMS.
The result will be sent as an SMS immediately or within 10-30 minutes, and there is no charge for this service.
What's next?
If you received your score and it is as high as you expected, congrats! Take time to celebrate.
If your result is lower than expected, that's okay. Exams are hard and you can retake the exam another time. It is possible that you did not have the best preparation for the exam.
